Advisory Delegates are elected to the annual meetings of General Assembly and
Synod. Youth
Advisory Delegates for the General Assembly must be between the ages of 17 and
23 on the day the General Assembly convenes.
The
Youth Advisory Delegate for the Synod must be a
commissioned church member under the age of twenty-four at the time
his/her term of service commences. Youth
Advisory Delegates sit in on the general meetings and committees.
They have the opportunity to speak out on issues of concern to them.
They have an official vote on the issues in committees.
They also have fellowship with each other. Youth
Advisory Delegates are expected to attend an orientation session before
attending and to report back to Presbytery after serving. The
process toward becoming a Youth Advisory Delegate is: 1.
Fill out the information and answer the questions.
Answer questions in your own words and submit form online to the
Presbytery Office. 2.
The committee will make its recommendation and place those names in nomination
to be officially elected by the Presbytery.
