On June 4, 1853,
Pleasant Grove (United) Presbyterian Church, Littleton, was
organized as a corporate body by Cedar Presbytery. Then the
congregation met in homes and was served by a circuit rider who made
the rounds every two weeks.
One hundred
and fifty years later, on June 22, 2003 Pleasant Grove will
celebrate their 150 years of ministry in the community of Littelton,
It is the oldest the oldest Presbyterian Church in the Presbytery of
North Central Iowa and the only church in Littleton.
